Ths Savage features Suzuki's TSCC (Twin Swirl Combustion Chamber). This design has two cylinder head domes that creates twin air-fuel swirls for ideal combustion. (I've copied that from the Suzuki brochure).
You say this device slips in the inlet. You may actually end up restricting the flow of fuel/air and end up worse off.
From the Clymer manual the venturi diameter of the carb is 40mm (1.57 in). It doesn't give the external diameter- you should be able to measure this yourself if you get a set of calipers.
If you do decide to buy it, would you measure your fuel efficiency before and after and let us know if there's been any improvement.
